Simon Veit-Wilson began his career as a photographer at a Newcastle-based
news agency in the early 1980s. During this time he covered important
events such as the Miners' strike, and his work was regularly featured
in the national press. He later studied advertising and editorial
photography at what is now the University of Gloucester, and was
subsequently employed as an agency and press photographer in the
South East of England. In 1990 he travelled to Australia, where
he worked for the Photographic Department at Sydney University,
and the following year to Boston, Massachusetts, where he worked
with several local photographers and helped teach photography at
Boston University.
Now firmly established in the North East, Simon specialises in
location photography for a variety of local businesses and organisations,
working mainly with digital media.
